This Full Moon I feel on the precipice.
I have a feeling I am on the edge of change. Transformation is happening beneath the surface, like the current that can't be seen from above, but is moving the waters below. As the moon this month is in Scorpio, all this feels very on trend for a sign emboldened by power and secrets.
I am waiting to see what happens and trusting the timing of the unfolding.
I found myself quite frozen through most of April. The fear in the collective finally captured me and I lost track of myself and my goals and my ground in the freezing. I only posted two newsletters in April, losing my voice to the fear instead of keeping my commitment to play, explore, and share art magic every week. I recommit to sharing my art and writing with you here each week. I commit to keeping the fear at bay through action, knowing that when the arts are silenced danger is afoot.
I listened to the audiobook for Making Time this past week and it ended with the sentiment that we don't always get to know who our making touches. The book focuses on being a "Maker" rather than a "Producer." I wrote in my journal while preparing for this newsletter that I RELEASE PRODUCTIVITY. I release productivity for this newsletter. Writing every week isn't an act of production. It is an act of sharing and playing and experimenting. I free myself from the judgement of this writing to be good or worthy or correct or helpful or productive. I trust that those who resonate with me and my offerings will find me. I will no longer let imaginary voices of doubt and criticism and disapproval keep me too frightened to move.

The cover for the Full Moon Playlist is from a work in progress shot the painting "Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt". The final painting included painted bees that were part of a spell to Know Beyond a Shadow of a Doubt that you are more than what can be seen with the Naked Eye. These writings here are just a sliver of my creative life and being in action. They are a piece to the whole and I trust that my readers and co-creators will remember this as I stumble and revel in my musings. I write this to remind myself as well, to be in alignment with what I am offering here each week and each Full Moon. Like the water moving beneath the surface, we each contain more than can ever be seen or known by another. This mystery is a gift. And so it is.
How are you honoring and reconciling your unseen currents with the Blessing of Scorpio's moonlight?
Scorpio Full Moon Oracle Spread & Journal Prompts & Music
For years I made playlists and oracle spreads for my patrons on Patreon. I have compiled all of my Scorpio Full Moon playlists into one prime playlist on Spotify.
You can find the original Patreon posts below if you are curious about the previous years of inspiration. I want to share them here as an offering, along with the Oracle Spread I am using under the light of this Moon to guide my own learnings and understandings.
Scorpio is a deep and passionate water sign. Pulled by rebellious Uranus, and calling for attention to internal stirrings with ruler Pluto in retrograde, this is a tumultuous Full Moon. Inner shifts and catalysts will bubble powerfully under the light of this Full Moon. May this three card spread shed insight on the stirring.
STIR Like the Dawn's first light, what is whispering with new potential?
STOKE Like a willful ember, what needs a kiss of fresh air to blossom?
STILL Like a calm lake, what is asking for rest and patience?
Use these prompts with your favorite oracle or tarot deck, simply journal to the prompts, or let them move through your body as you listen to the music above. This offering is for you to take or leave as you please.
The Faerie's have been patiently waiting for their turn to be featured in a Full Moon reading. The Full Moon at the start of Beltane season seems as fitting a time as any to dabble in their mischievous and at time viciously truthful energies.
STIR Like the Dawn's first light, what is whispering with new potential?
Spring is here and so much new life is stirring around me. We had two long rainy days this week that broke into today's idyllic sun. The seeds I planted in April are stirring with new shoots. I saw a Robin this morning defending the tender life in its nest from a Squirrel. The gentle wind seems to be full of possibilities and I tap into this energy for this first question.
18 - The Lady of the Harvest
It is time to accept change, to move on to the next phase... Release and liberation may be painful or joyful, depending on the circumstances. Cry if you need to, be joyful if that is appropriate, but in either case trust the process..."
I divided the deck into three piles after shuffling and found each portion of the deck wanted to reveal its message in a different way. For the first question I spread the cards out and looked for the one that wanted to be drawn. It was peeking out from behind another. The Lady of the Harvest is a beacon of liberation. She stewards us through all the stages of letting go and release and grieving so that we can celebrate the change. In this season of new growth and momentum it can be easy to miss all the loss and completions, big or small. Marking the endings with the same significance and excitement as the beginnings is important. I feel this card is asking for a new way to mark the change and honor the endings, releasing them with renewed intention before diving into the invigorating energies of spring.
STOKE Like a willful ember, what needs a kiss of fresh air to blossom?
Ideas come and go. Motivations ebb and flow. Opportunities shift and transform from one day to the next. This question looks to find an old inspiration that will not go out that is ready to spring into life and move closer to manifestation. What old spark is ready to be stoked into fullness?
2 Ekstasis
Ecstasy. Joy. Rapture. Motivation.
The second pile of cards asked to be shuffled and almost immediately Ekstasis came jumping from my hands. The Singers are the grand energies of the universe that sing into creation all that is. They are powerful and primordial and beautiful in their messages. To the faeries, as to us, They are the Great Ones, the ones who show us, humans and faeries both, that we have the potential to ultimately become.
That thing that lights you up whenever you think about, or work on it, or share it, or are with its presence wholly and completely, stoke that. Whatever it is that brings you closer to the unified song of the universe and moves all things in trust and mystery, that is the thing to stoke and kindle and spark with your attention and devotion. Ekstasis is this song of planets moving and hearts beating and flowers growing and birds eating worms. Ekstasis appears to say follow the connection to ecstasy for that is the path you are meant to be on.
STILL Like a calm lake, what is asking for rest and patience?
Choices are necessary. We can't do everything all the time. The flowers know this with their seasons. The waters know this with their ebb and flow. We each have to choose what will receive our attention in a given season and which things will be left to rest and wait. This questions seeks to find clarity around where to be patient.
8 - The Singer of Courage
Bravery. Sublimation of Fear. Moral Strength
The final pile I held to my heart, letting the cards shuffle and rearrange in their mysterious, unseen ways for the right card to appear. I took three full deep breaths while I waited for the magic to happen. Once calm I looked at the bottom card held closest to my heart to reveal the Singer of Courage.
At the beginning of this post I spoke about fear and my desire to move it. Here the Singer of Courage offers support in being with the fear and finding motion anyway. This card speaks to leaving behind the either-or mindset of I will be afraid and frozen or I will be brave and keep going. The Singer of Courage invites both. Be afraid and dance. Be fearful and share anyway. Step forward with vulnerability and a trembling heart and see what transformations occurs in that space. This requires rest and patience because it is not glamorous or rewarding. It is simply a discipline to practice that is learned through gentle doing.
