Two newsletters in one week? Yes!
I wanted to share the newsletter on Imbolc and Swan over a week ago but catching a cold kept me from posting. Then it seemed odd to post this newsletter further from the Full Moon than a day. I hope you will grant me the grace to appear a little more frequently in your inbox this week 🫶
This Full Moon I am Walking in Courage
Choosing to be a mother is courageous. Choosing to be an artist and a writer is courageous. Choosing to keep showing up for the world and people and animals and landscapes I care about takes courage. I am opening my heart to the magick of Leo and letting the change wash over me. I saw the Full Moon tonight, beaming down on me, and I felt a rebellious energy stir inside me. A rebellious energy that refuses to be shut down by the chaos.
The words on the art for this Moon's playlist reads:
old world crone grandmother Wild Women Raindrop sister The Weaver they existed for each other among the trees and the roar of the sea determined and earth-useful
These are the vision-carriers I want by my side, the archetypal energies I want to call in to step with my lantern onto the next path. I listened to a podcast called 19. finding allies for your creative dream, that talked about cultivating relationships with your vision or dream carriers, inspired by the work of Jungian Analyst Jean Shinoda Bolen. The podcast explored the necessity of vision-carriers outside of yourself to bring creative dreams to life; that vision-carriers can be both steadfast allies in your real life communities or mythic, ancestral, or inspirational figures from history.
"Whatever inner vision carriers you might choose, and however you connect with them, the magic of the transformation is the same. It’s the subtle but seismic shift that happens when you affirm, again and again, that your imaginative relationship to the world matters – and that making and claiming space for it to thrive is always the true core of the dream." -from the Inspirited Word
When listening I felt inspired to connect more intentionally with my mythic, spiritual, ancestral team of carriers. Then I re-discovered the poem above and thought YES! This is my team! I want to courageously stand beside my ancestors who were among the trees and determined. I want to work with Goddesses who are wild and weaving. And I want to imagine my relationships with the mythic archetypes that inspire me to create as earth-useful and roaring with the sea.
Leo Full Moon Oracle Spread & Journal Prompts & Music
For years I made playlists and oracle spreads for my patrons on Patreon. I have compiled all of my Leo Full Moon playlists into one prime playlist on Spotify.
You can find the original Patreon posts below if you are curious about the previous years of inspiration. I want to share them here as an offering, along with the Oracle Spread I am using under the light of this Moon to guide my own learnings and understandings.
The Full Moon in Leo on 2/12/2025 is a portal for paradigm shifts. The bringer of sudden change and disruption Uranus is T-Square with quicksilver Mercury and the blessed Full Moon. Tap into this astrological storm with this three card spread.
SHIFT Like a landslide rearranging what you know, what needs your attention?
SWITCH Like a key opening a long lost lock, what old pattern is being disrupted?
REVEAL Like a flash of lightning, what new path is lit up for you now?

I was drawn to work with the Legendarium Tarot for this month's lunation, which I picked up through a kickstarter last year. When I first drew the cards I was a bit intimidated by the intense imagery, even though I knew I was likely to get a reckoning with the questions asked and the perceived challenge of the current astrological placements.
SHIFT Like a landslide rearranging what you know, what needs your attention?
Upheaval! Never turning back! Disruption! Big Changes! Drama! These were the headlines I saw when looking into the meaning and messages behind this Full Moon, and although Uranus is in what is traditionally considered a challenging placement, all this fear mongering had me wanting to perk up my ears and not fall into the chaotic soup. We can't control the weather, but we can keep our eyes open.
X The Wheel of Fortune
When you have no power to influence events, you must get comfortable and observe how they will ultimately unfold.
This version of the Wheel of Fortune has a lot of tension in the image. Both the Knight and the Princess are active and suspicious. They have an alertness to them that speaks to the question asked. I feel this card is asking one to pay attention to the winds of change. What might seem terrible could lead to some mysterious treasure. What might seem like a great boon could lead to tragedy. Fortune is fickle and nothing is fixed, it only takes a matter of time.
SWITCH Like a key opening a long lost lock, what old pattern is being disrupted?
This morning I read a newsletter about Chiron and unlocking the keys to our wounds with the magick of Yarrow. Although Chiron isn't the most active in the stars tonight, I still felt compelled to explore the ideas of locks and keys and inner pattern shifting with this question.
XVI Destruction
If something is being destroyed, it means its time has come. I will not torment myself with thoughts of how it could be prevented.
Oof was my first thought when this card came flying out of the deck. But then I thought of all the old patterns I could be fundamentally changing within me. If the flames of the dragon were in fact a purifying breathe that tears down the walls I have been throwing myself against for months or years or lifetimes, wouldn't that be a terrifying and wonderful gift? Whatever pattern is being disrupted is not only switching and swaying but being utterly obliterated for better or worse. I see an image of a key fitting into a lock and then that door, armor, castle, old story evaporating like flash paper.
REVEAL Like a flash of lightning, what new path is lit up for you now?
Every ending is a beginning, and with major change and sudden departures from the known new paths open. When the Aha! happens follow the light towards different patterns and fresh possibilities.
Ace of Swords
I rid myself of imposed opinions and false ideas
In the aftermath of the storm the clarity of where to go next can cut like a blade. There can be loss and mourning when the path diverges from where we once thought we would go, but there is also untold treasures to found in the places we didn't seek before. The mighty Griffin is the herald on this card, faster than lightning, fierce as a Lion, clear-sighted like an Eagle and acting with unfaltering certainty. Trust the lighted path and step across the threshold sure-footed. Perhaps with your vision-carriers benevolently championing your way.
